01_Refane Mboss Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy sheep and raise them.

01_Refane Mboss Group's story

This group is made up of brave women who are part of a banc villageois that has been in place since December 2012. They live in the same village and are linked together both as relatives and in support of one another. They have paid back several loans successfully. Their primary activities are trading and agriculture.

Madame Penda, age 44, is the manager, at the far right of the photo raising her hand. She is married and mother to seven children, of which four are girls. They are all in school.

Madame Penda raises sheep, she makes her purchases at the weekly market and runs her business at her home in the village, where she has her sheep pen. She has five years of experience doing this work.

The loan will serve to buy her six sheep, bags of feed and pay for their vaccines. She will raise them, then resell them with a profit margin. She will also build up her working capital.

Her profits will allow her to finish the construction of two rooms, to help provide for the family (clothing, food) and manage everyday spending.
