01_Mboltogne Group's story

This banc villageois was created in June 2012 and joins seven women who live in the same village; some are related and all are united together. They're involved in trading.

Ms. Mada is age 47; she is the group representative on the right of the photo, raising her hand. She is married and mother to five children, of whom one is a boy. Two of the children are in school.

Mada has a small food business selling millet, corn, beans, peanuts and other seasonal products). She purchases her items in the weekly market and resells them in her village. She has more than 10 years of experience in this sector of business.

With this loan she'll buy 100 kilos of millet, 100 kilos of beans, 20 kilos of peanuts and other products to resell with a profit margin. She is able to sell her products without difficulty because she has a good group of customers among (fellow) wholesalers.

With her profits, she will strengthen her business and help her husband handle the family's expenses and the children's school fees.
