Veronica's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to replenish her stock of legumes.

Veronica's story

Veronica is a 22-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and children in Mangochi district in Malawi. With her previous Kiva loan, she reinvested in her business of selling legumes and started legume farming to increase her profits. She used the profit she earned to support her family's basic needs as well as needy learners in her community.

Veronica is now requesting another loan to increase her farming area so that she harvests more legumes. She plans to use the profit she earns to continue to support her family and the needy people in her community.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 1.5 per hours week as a CAMFED Learner Guide, facilitating classes from CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build their self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.
