Sitha's story

Sitha is a 28-year-old experienced repairer from the Preah Sdach District of Prey Veng Province. He has been working as a blacksmith for more than three years at his home to cover the family's needs. His spouse is working as a seller, operating a small convenience shop offering many types of products, including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things to local people in the community.

Sitha and his spouse help each other earn household income so that they can provide food, medicines, education, and basic living needs. Due to a shortage of money, Sitha is asking for a loan to purchase grocery products to sell. He is very strong in his task such as trying to find out what the customer wants or needs by talking to or following them. He informs customers about product features and demonstrates their use, explains the differences between different models of products, and answers questions about store products, services and policies. He orders on demand or purchase, prepares sales receipts, purchases payment processes and creates and maintains a showcase.

He aims to add more business to support his members' needs. In the future, he aims to renovate his old house and purchase more land for agriculture purposes. He believes that through his hard work and perseverance he will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
