A loan helped to buy bricks, cement and gravel.

El Cerro Group's story

Wendy Lisseth is 32 years old. She is in a relationship and is the mother of a six year old daughter. She has no family abroad.

Wendy is a vendor of traditional foods in the afternoon. In the mornings she works as a custodian in a school in her community, working from seven in the morning until three in the afternoon. She is very good at her work and it allows her to generate income to help with the household obligations.

She would like to make improvements to her house so she is requesting a loan to buy bricks, cement and gravel. With this investment she wants to build a wall in her house to stop the accumulation of water during the rainy season that damages her belongings. In the future she dreams of having her own house and provide a better living for her family.

Wendy together with Jessica, Oseas, Sonia and Martha make up the ”El Cerro” communal bank, being responsible and enterprising people who share the same goal of getting ahead with their families.
