Usikilivu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cassava leaves, peppers, avocados, oranges, and beans, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Usikilivu Group's story

Mrs. Jeannette is a client of Hekima MFI and president of the village group "USIKILIVU". She is married, 46 years old and mother of 5 children, 2 of whom are in school, 3 of whom are autonomous. Her partner is unemployed.

She sells fruits and vegetables. She started this business 20 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later, she involved the Hekima program to support her business, during which she gradually evolved. With this new loan, she will buy cassava leaves, peppers, avocados, oranges, and beans, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is the high cost of transportation.

She would like her children to continue studying, provide for her family and buy a plot of land.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to owners of non-bankable businesses in this context of the global covid-19 crisis. The photo only shows the leader of the group due to Covid-19, in compliance with social distancing measures.
