Theodore's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped us secure a food trailer and outfit it with the necessary equipment.
I grew up in Clarksdale, MS raised in a home where my mom and dad, especially my dad, loved to cook. My dad would call me regularly yelling, "Junior!" to come into the kitchen to watch and help him put together a meal. Later in high school, I took Culinary at the vocational school where I honed my skills and even competed in competitions. During this time, I developed my friendship with my wife and business partner, LaTanthony. We both developed our love and desire for homemade, "from scratch," desserts while growing up in our respective southern homes with parents, grandparents, and extended family. During year 7 of our marriage, I was in-between jobs, when my wife convinced me to sell the peach cobbler pans we were eating weekly after work. Friends and family members loved it! From there, we realized how those old fashion "from scratch" desserts are desired in our community. Our desserts bring back memories of the flakiness of grandma's pies or the sweet joy from an old fashion butter roll. We want to encourage people to go back to those old fashion joys with simple ingredients, a lot of love, and bringing people together. We are currently ready and excited to share that experience with others all over Mississippi and the US.
