Abatarutwa Cb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more sugar, salt, soap, and cooking oil to sell.

Abatarutwa Cb Group's story

Venantie is a 40-year-old mother of five children between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. Her husband is a farmer. For the past seven years, she has owned a grocery store.

Venantie is the leader of the group named Abatarutwa CB, which means “the beautiful one” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Venantie will use her portion of the loan to buy more sugar, salt, soap, and cooking to sell in her community in order to meet the demands of her customers. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to be able to provide for her family.

Venantie is thankful for the support of the lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
