Chokola Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy supplies of flour, sugar, rice and oil, which will reinforce her initial capital.

Chokola Group's story

Madame Esperance is a client of the Hekima IMF and presides over the Chokola village groupe. She is single, 57 years old and the mother of 5 children, all of whom are in school.

She sells various foods, and started this business in 2017 with her own start up funds. Later she requested that the Hekima program become involved to support her business, and has since developed progressively. With this new loan, she will buy supplies of flour, sugar, rice and oil, which will reinforce her initial capital. The challenge of her business is related to the state's taxes and the dollar's increased exchange rate.

Madame Esperance would like for her children to continue their studies, and to buy a parcel of land. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to business owners who are not bankable due to the circumstances of the global Covid-19 crisis.

The photo only features the group leader because of Covid-19 social distancing measures.
