Mercy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs such as organic manure/fertilizers to improve her production.

Mercy's story

Mercy is a borrower with good credit standing. She is a 28-year-old mother who lives in Eldoret, Kenya. The temperate climate is favorable for growing crops. Mercy is a mixed crop farmer who has been farming for the past few years. Through farming, she has changed her family’s fortunes.

Mercy is seeking a loan to buy farming inputs to improve her production so that she can earn more income to support her family. Access to quality farm inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides) is a pillar of the agricultural revolution. In Kenya, which is a developing country, the allocation of fertilizers and seeds from the government does not meet the needs of farmers.

A loan to Mercy means a lot during this time when the world is focused on combatting COVID-19.
