A loan helped to buy groceries and to sell breakfast.

01_Thieo Group's story

Created in December 2010, this banc villageois supports this group of ten women. They live in the same village, are family, friends and have good relationships with one another. They are primarily involved in commerce and agriculture. They have paid back more than ten loans successfully.

Madame Marie Coumba, the representative, is 43 years old and is on the left of the photo with her hand raised. She is married and the mother of five children, two of whom are boys and four who are in school. Marie Coumba is active in the sale of curdled milk and other various products. She buys her products in a neighboring village and resells the products in a quarry near the village. She has four years of experience in this business and also sells dishware on the side.

With this loan, she will buy ten sacks of milk powder, one container of corned beef, and dishware that she will be able to sell without difficulty. The income will allow her to increase her savings, contribute to a group savings fund, and to help with the family expenses.
