01_Ndianda Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy food products to resell.

01_Ndianda Group's story

These six brave women are part of the group put into place in their village in November 2011. They are from the same village, and they share values of friendship and unity. They have always repaid their loans without any issues.

Madame Sokhna Coumba is 59 years old and the group representative. She is standing at right in the photo with her hand raised. She is a widow and mother of three children, including two boys. All of her children go to school.

Sokhna Coumba works in small business selling various food products (smoked fish, shrimp, etc.). She buys her supplies from the wholesalers and resells them at home. She receives orders from the capital and has six years of experience in this area.

Sokhna Coumba will buy cases of smoked fish and seafood that she hopes to resell for a profit. Her activity works well as she has just sold out of all of her products. The income she earns will allow her to take care of her family's daily expenses, her children's schooling, and to grow her savings.
