Susan's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 49-year-old Susan from Port Loko branch. She is a married businesswoman with four children between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. Two of them are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.

Susan runs a retail business and sells assorted items to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 10 years. Susan says her challenge is the increase in prices due to the effect of Covid-19 disease in the country.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more assorted items, such as toothpaste and brushes, soap, dishes, sofas, etc., to increase her business.

Susan says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
