Channa's story

Channa, a brave person and a married woman, is highly respected in her local area. She lives with her spouse and her two children, both of whom are attending primary school. She a seller at the market who sells food and drinks. She’s friendly and honest, makes prompt deliveries, gives refunds and is happy and fast. Her husband is working as a construction worker.

Because of a shortage in her finances, she has applied for a loan of USD 2,500 to purchase grocery products to sell. She aims to buy products such as grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things, to sell to local people in her community.

In the future, she aims to renovate her old house and purchase more land for agriculture purposes. She believes that through her hard work and perseverance, she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday. She is in the photograph with her husband.
