Mameisini's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa making and, also, to export her kava powder overseas.

Mameisini's story

This mother's name is Mameisini. She has six children and they live in their own homes. Her husband is a farmer and they help hand-in-hand with providing for their children.

Mameisini joins a group of women in their village and, once a week, they perform the making of tapas. Together, they make more than one tapas according to their desires, as well as how their customers demand.

Mameisini is helped by her children in preparing her soft tapas and, sometimes, designing the tapas. They also run a kava (Tongan beer) selling business. Shown in her photo is a ready-to-sell kava powder, that is sold from their home.

Mameisini hopes to use this loan to buy mulberry for her business and, also, to export their kava powder overseas.
