Mujeres Emprendedoras Con Esperanza Group's story
The “Mujeres Emprendedoras con Esperanza” (Hopeful Enterprising Women) committee was established over three years ago when the cleaning lady of the Fundación’s Luque office invited her neighbors to form a group in order to have the possibility of increasing their merchandise and expanding their work. Currently, the group is in Fundación Paraguaya’s Enterprising Women Committee Program’s 10th cycle with 17 members who are involved in a variety of activities. Mrs. Norma A. sells clothes. She used the money to buy clothes like: t-shirts, shirts, pants and jackets to resell. She is an itinerant merchant that travels to various neighborhoods daily to set up her stand and display her merchandise; this is how she offers her clothes for sale. Norma tells us that this is very demanding work but it’s the opportunity she has to help her family. She very much would like to have a locale to sell her merchandise because the way she currently works is very unstable.
