Milika's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy good mulberry and pandanus for her tapa-making and weaving business.

Milika's story

Milika and her children live in their own little home. Milika makes a living for them through weaving and tapa-making. Her husband travels overseas and never returns, leaving her the responsibility of taking care of their children on her own. Milika does not have time for a broken heart, yet she takes the necessary steps to maintain her business and be able to provide for her children.

On Saturdays of every week, she joins a group of women and together they perform the making of tapas. She then spends the rest of her week-days weaving. She is a sole-weaver, and she weaves only taovala to sell. Both of her taovala and tapas sell to overseas customers. With this loan, Milika will be able to purchase good pandanus and mulberry for her business.

She dreams of a better life for her children, and she believes that the only way for a better life for her children is through better education.
