A loan helped to purchase pandanus and mulberry for her weaving and tapa making business.

Kapiolani's story

Kapiolani is a divorced woman and mother to her three children. She also has a grandchild and they live in just one house.

Currently she operate a business of weaving and tapa making, which is the primary source of income for her family.

Once a week she is joined by her sister and a group of women for the making of tapas. Together they make more than one tapa, design them and then sell them to earn income.

For her weaving business, she weaves taovala, mats and fihu, using mainly white pandanus before selling them.

She usually sells her weavings and tapas to her overseas customers and she also has local random customers.

This loan will help Kapiolani to purchase pandanus and mulberry for her business.

Her dream is to keep her business running to serve her children well and be like a complete family.

She is grateful for having her loan to meet her business's needs.
