Ann's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a single mom to buy inputs, such as organic manure, fertilizers and certified seeds, to improve her farm yield and make more profits.

Ann's story

Ann is a single mother of three children living in Nandihills, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises. Her family's main income source is milk from their dairy farm. However, she is also involved in other agricultural activities.

The biggest problem that farmers from her village face is the huge deficit in access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be.

Ann is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizer. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help Ann fill the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve the quality of life for her family.

Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholder farmers around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from villages like Ann now can buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms. Ann hopes to improve the condition of her house. Help this granny to accomplish all her dreams with just a loan!
