Almakan's story

This beautiful woman is Almakan, who is 45 years old, married and raising seven children. She has a secondary education. To provide the primary income for her family, she has been involved in animal husbandry and farming since 2004. Thanks to Almakan's hard work and her husband's help with the business, today her farm contains 11 cows, 47 sheep and 9 horses. To continue growing her business, Almakan is requesting a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) from the Kiva Fund to buy livestock in order to increase her income from livestock breeding. The profit from the loan will help her to expand her business by increasing her headcount of thoroughbred livestock.
