Saran's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for household latrine construction.

Saran's story

Saran, age 51, lives with her family in the area of Bakan district, Pursat province. She earns a living by working as a seller, operating a small convenience shop offering many types of products, including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things to local people in her community.

Saran and her spouse help each other earn household income so that they can provide food, medicines, education, and basic living needs. Her spouse helps her to earn more income by working as a construction worker. Because of a shortage in her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 4,000,000 to pay for household latrine construction. This fund can encourage her to pay to purchase construction supplies as well as pay for labor costs. This latrine is very useful for her members to prevent the spread of various diseases, have a dignified place to live, to be clean and comfortable, and have a suitable place for bathing. They will also participate in social sanitation, with no mud around the house.

She aims to purchase more land for agricultural purposes and open a small grocery store to earn additional income. She sends her thanks to all lenders for helping her family.
