Wainikiti's loan finished fundraising,

A loan helped to replace her old fishing tackles.

Wainikiti's story

Wainikiti, 48 years old, is a former hotel worker, who lost her job to COVID-19. This didn't stop the Tau lady from making a living . She strives high to assist her husband to provide for their family. Tau village is on the shore near to the main road. She gets her income from the sea by fishing and selling the fish in her local fish market.

The fish business has helped her support her family, putting food on the table and paying for bills and other village commitments. She seeks a loan to replace her old fishing tackles so that she can have a good catch. Her dream is to own a fiberglass fishing boat in days to come.
