01_Mbekhir Ndialick Group's story

These five men have long been friends but for the purposes of receiving financing they created this group in January 2021. They live in the same village and are relatives who are close. Their primary type of business is growing fresh vegetables.

Mr. Ngor, 61 and the group's representative, is on the right in the photo and raising his hand. He is in a polygamous marriage with two spouses and father to ten children, six of whom are girls and all of whom are in school. Two of his daughters are married.

Mr. Ngor is involved in selling vegetables, he has a field in his village where he grows seasonally, including onions, peppers, tomatoes and turnips. He has deep experience -- nearly 20 years.

With this loan, he will buy seeds, two bags of chemical fertilizer, phytosanitary products; he will improve his equipment, including an irrigation pump, a hose, barbed wire and fencing. His business is operating well, he sells his harvested vegetables in the capital and the weekly markets.

His profits will allow him to grow his business, to save up and to take care of his family's food, clothing, medical expenses and his children's school fees.
