Ushuhuda Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to get supplies of women's clothing.

Ushuhuda Group's story

Ms. Justine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the village group “USHUHUDA”; she is married, 41 years old, and the mother of seven children, all in school except for one who is a few months old. Her husband works at a private company.

A seller of clothing, she began this enterprise fifteen years ago with startup funding from her husband. Later on, she got involved with the Hekima program to support her enterprise and has since been progressing in it.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up on women’s clothing, and this will bolster her initial capital. The challenge in her business has to do with insufficient capital.

She would like to feed her family and for her children to continue in their studies. So, she wishes to say thank you to Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo shows only the group leader due to COVID-19, so as to respect social distancing measures.
