A loan helped to buy sacks of taro and banana, vegetable oil, a frying pan and wooden spoon.

Lavenia's story

Lavenia is a 55-year-old mother with seven children. To earn a living, she runs a small business selling bananas and taro chips in her village and at the market. She has been in this business for more than five years.

Lavenia has requested a loan to buy sacks of taro and banana, a bottle of vegetable oil, a frying pan and a wooden spoon to help run her business. She hopes to use her profits to build a chip store in the near future and to provide for her family's needs. Lavenia became a member of SPBD in 2009.
