but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy chicks and ducks.

Thanh Luong 47 Group's story

36 year-old Hoa has been married and has two daughters: the first daughter is in grade 5 and the others is still a baby. Like other villagers, Hoa and her husband work in agriculture to provide for the family.

Because income from agricultural production activities is not stable, Hoa and her husband always try to work hard in many small scale activities including growing rice, raising chickens and ducks. She always wanted to expand her husbandry to improve her family's economy, but due to a lack of capital, she decided to get a second round loan from the Anh Chi Em program to invest in poultry by buying more chicks and ducks. She hopes that this investment will be as success as her previous ones and the profit will be there so that she can pay for her children to go to school and better take care for the family.

Hoa is grateful for support from Kiva lenders and the Anh Chi Em program. This is a opportunity for her to get out of poverty. In the photo, she stands at the first from the right
