but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy piglets and build a pigsty.

Thanh Luong 39 Group's story

Phuc, a Thai ethnic minority woman standing at the far right of the photo, is leader of Thanh Luong 39 Group. She is 34 years old, married and has two children who are attending school. She lives in a remote village where agriculture is the main source of income.

Phuc had to drop out of secondary school due to difficult circumstances, so she always works hard in many activities, such as hired labor, farming and raising pigs, chickens and ducks, to have enough money for her children’s education. The next school year is coming, and, although she has worked very hard, Phuc needs money to pay tuition fees. She therefore decided to expand her pig farm by buying piglets and building a pigsty. She has five years of experience in this field and knows pigs are easy to raise and sell for a high price. Luckily, Anh Chi Em has granted her a loan to solve her lack of capital.

Phuc dreams that her family will have an abundant life and her children will get a quality education, find good jobs and have bright futures.
