A loan helped to buy fresh fruit and vegetables to sell.

Nueva Esperanza Group's story

The communal bank "Nueva Esperanza" [new hope] is from Paraguarí. They are in their first loan cycle. They are united and supportive of each other. They work together in different activities. They say that they are pleased and feel the support of the program of the women's committee, to be able to improve their and their families' quality of life.

One of them is Liza Mabel, who is in a relationship and also has a child, for whom she strives, to give him a better quality of life. She says that, through the sale of fruit and vegetables, she generates the means to be able to get her family ahead.

Liza Mabel is a hardworking person who decided to join the group to be able to have training and to invest in her business. In this way, she will be able to help her family as she has been doing up to now.

She requests this loan to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, in order to continue with her sales and to fill the orders of her customers.

Note: Although there is only one person in the photo, this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo, to avoid gathering people during the Covid-19 pandemic.
