Washuuda Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

Washuuda Group's story

Esther is a client with the microfinance institution Hekima and represents the groupe villageoise Washuuda. She is 52 years old, married and has nine children who are all enrolled in school; her partner is a doctor.

She established her business selling meat one year ago using start-up funds she received from her husband. Later she got involved with the Hekima program to support her business, which has been developing progressively. With this new loan, she will stock up on meat wholesale, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is linked to unpaid debts.

She would like her children to continue their studies and wants to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support shown to business owners without access to traditional banking facilities in the context of the global crisis caused by covid-19.
