Maliyah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a smartphone to facilitate her child's online education during COVID-19.

Maliyah's story

Good day lenders! Meet one of KBMI’s clients, Maliyah. She is 44 years old, married, and has three sons and one daughter. Maliyah runs a business of selling food and her husband is a laborer. One of her children is still in school. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on her family has resulted in her child having to take online classes from home. This has made it difficult for her child to access course materials and send assignments back to the teacher.

Maliyah applied for a loan of 2,200,000 IDR from KBMI to buy a smartphone to facilitate her child’s online education during COVID-19. Her income is not sufficient to buy a smartphone, but she will be able to repay the loan she received using the profits from her business.

Maliyah is a very hardworking mother who always strives to provide the best for her children, improve their living conditions, and create a happy life. She is very grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank all of the lenders.

Note: The boy in the photo is Maliyah's son.
