Rabagirana Zamuka Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy rice, meat, cooking oil, plantains and beans to sell in her store.

Rabagirana Zamuka Group's story

Faida is 38 years old and the mother of five children between the ages of fifteen and 21 years. For the past ten years she has operated a grocery store to earn an income.

Faida is the leader for the group named Rabagirana Zamuka, in English meaning “not forgetting each other.” Group members sell different items and own a variety of stores and businesses. Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all the members but was able to get one representative, Faida, for the group photo.

Faida will use her portion of this loan to buy rice, meat, cooking oil, plantains and beans to sell within her community. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to buy a piece of land. She is thankful for the support of her lenders.
