Sesilia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa making business and also to repair their damaged fishing boat.

Sesilia's story

Meet Sesilia. She is a proud mother of five, who provides for her family through making tapa and the fishing of her loving husband. Her husband's fishing depends on the time of the tides, and when he comes back from fishing, Sesilia classifies the fish and packs them into plastic bags and sells them at the local fish market and also at their village. Fishing not only brings money, they also have fish for food.

For her tapa making, her two daughters help Sesilia in preparing her soft tapas. Once a week she joins a group of women and together they make lots of tapas. Sesilia sells her tapas to local and overseas customers.

She is applying for this loan because they need help with their damaged boat. Currently her husband borrows someone else's boat for his fishing because their boat was damaged by a reef. The loan will also help Sesilia to purchase mulberry for her tapa making. To build a financially secure life for her children is her priority.
