A loan helped to purchase mulberry bark for her tapa making business and to pay the expense of exporting her products overseas.

'Ofa's story

'Ofa and her mother have a tapa making business for generating income. She is only 19 years old and a single mother. 'Ofa is doing her best to raise her son on her own with the help of her mother. She and her mother joined a group of women in their village. They meet once a week to make tapas according to their own preferences and based on the demands of their customers. 'Ofa also hired some women to help with making tapas and preparing soft tapas.

She will use this loan to buy mulberry bark for her tapa making business and to pay the expense of exporting her finished tapas to her aunt who lives overseas. Even though she is young to be a mother, 'Ofa will do her best to fulfill her responsibilities to her son. Her dream is to build a better life for her child.
