Manny's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped a minority-owned business continue their expansion efforts.
From a young age, I knew my goal was to someday own my own business. However, entrepreneurship was not a topic of common discussion. My family, like many in my community, expected a traditional education, job, and life. After finding a passion for business and marketing in high school, I went on to earn a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business management. Throughout my journey, I continued to notice the severe lack of representation of minority entrepreneurs. With newfound knowledge and experience, I was anxious to change this. In 2016, I began working with the Women's Business Center, assisting entrepreneurs to launch and/or grow their businesses. I was able to bring my passion for helping the community, and tie it with my passion for business, marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, and much more. Over the course of my life, I have had the privilege of working and learning from incredible leaders. Along my journey, I have also had the honor of working with entrepreneurs who are also hoping to make their mark. I now run a consulting firm, teach small business courses, and work with various organizations to help provide resources to small businesses and nonprofits. My goal - to continue impacting my community, and to increase the representation of minority-led companies.
