Deborah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more fresh and dried fish to sell.

Deborah's story

Deborah is 40 years old and a single mother with two kids. Both of her children are still schooling and live at home. She attended school up to 12th grade. She is a hardworking businesswoman who sells fresh and dried fish. She started the business with some earnings from her father and her mother taught her how to sell. She faces no problem with her business and uses a car to transport supplies to her business site. Deborah sells Monday through Saturday, eight hours each day. She says she enjoys her business because it gives her good profits.

To continue selling, she applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. With the anticipated profit she will buy more fresh and dried fish to sell to generate greater profits.

Her dreams for the future are to build a shop and continue her children's education. She wishes to say thanks.
