Daniel Alejandro's story

Daniel Alejandro is a 31 year old micro-entrepreneur and resident of the city of Cartagena. He has a business selling a variety of products like perfume, watches and sunglasses for women and men. The idea for starting his business grew out of the need to generate income to help pay the household expenses. He started with a small capital which he invested in a variety of merchandise and his first customers were his family. He reinvested the earnings he obtained and bought a display case to exhibit his products. Because of the world-wide emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic his business was hurt from the numerous restrictions imposed by the national government. So he had to implement a sales strategy which used social media. He is in the process of reactivating his operation and meeting demand making the most of the coming Christmas season. So he is requesting his first loan from Kiva with the Fundación Santo Domingo with the objective of investing in the purchase of accessories, clothing for men and women, watches, perfume and shoes. Support him with a loan for his business.
