A loan helped to buy sheep for fattening.

01_May Wassik Fissel Group's story

These six women, who live in the same locality, are linked by socio-professional ties; they are cousins and neighbours and their main activities are livestock farming and trade. This is their first funding from the institution.

Binta, the representative, is 51 years old and on the right in the photo with her hand raised. She is married and has two daughters who are in school. Binta is a sheep farmer, working at the weekly markets and at her home where she has her sheep. She has a good experience of more than five years.

She will buy three sheep and livestock feed, fatten them and sell them after four months. She has a good customer base consisting of dealers in the local markets who buy regularly. Her profits enable her to contribute to the well-being of her family, to manage her expenses and to increase her livestock.
