Josephine's story

Happy and ever-jovial stands Josephine (pictured in her tea crop farm), a 41-year-old mother who lives in Nyamira. For the past few years, this enterprising mom has been engaging in crop farming.

Jospehine dreams that through farming she will be able to pull away from poverty and see to it that all her family succeeds in having a good life. She is a visionary and keen to ensure that she keeps on progressing.

Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, has extended its services to the remote areas in the Nyamira region of Kenya, and their staff is keen to ensure that hardworking women are actively involved in mixed farming. Jospehine loves farming, for it is her only way of securing a living for her family.
