Rehemah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase feed for the hens and vaccines to improve eggs and milk products for sale.

Rehemah's story

Rehemah is 30 years old and lives with her child in the town of Mattuga in the Kawempe region of Uganda. For the past six years, Rehemah has worked hard to manage her farm.

To help expand her business, Rehemah requested a loan of 3,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase feed for the hens and vaccines to improve on the production of eggs and milk to sell. This will help Rehemah generate greater profits to take care of basic needs for her family like buying food and clothing for her child. Rehemah hopes that in the future she will be able to establish a very big poultry farm and build rentals for business of her own.

Rehemah is a member of BRAC's Microfinance program (MF). The program primarily serves small Group members like Rehemah who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
