Kasali Abagambakmu Group's story

Fifty-one-year-old Wilfred is married with two children and lives in Kyenjojo, Uganda. He has a semi-permanent house. Wilfred has a tea plantation which he inherited from his parents fourteen years ago. He dreams of expanding his tea plantation to five acres, having a permanent house, and owning a motorcycle. He wants the loan to buy fertilizer for his tea plantation so that he can realize better yields. Wilfred is a member of Kasali Abagambakmu group, where each group member is a guarantor to the others for the loans they take. It works because they know each other and character is the defining requirement for one to be a member of the group.
