Joaquin Manuel's story
Joaquin is a 50 year old micro-entrepreneur and resident of the city of Cartagena de Indias. He has a business here maintaining and repairing appliances. Joaquin Manuel started this business about two years ago and has been able to get ahead with his family through it and provide them with a better quality of living. He has also gained the reputation of being a responsible person, committed to his work. This man offers his services daily to passersby and people from around the area with payment in cash or on credit. Due to COVID-19 he had to suspend his work for reasons of health and security and his business deteriorated. He is currently applying for his first loan from Kiva with the Fundación Santo Domingo to increase his working capital, buying air conditioner parts, screws, motors and spark plugs amongst others. He wants to be able to increase his number of sales and his profits. Support him with this loan for his business.
