Lesieli's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy raw materials for her business of handicraft, weaving and tapa making.

Lesieli's story

Meet Lesieli. She is a mother of five children, and a wife of a farmer. Lesieli owns and operates a business of craft, weaving and tapa making. Her main helpers are her children, especially her daughter. Her daughter helps with her weaving and craft business. Together they spend their time making kiekie (ornamental girdles), using hibiscus, soft tapas, pandanus and also coconut materials. They also spend time weaving together.

Lesieli joins a group of women in the village making the tapas, while her daughter stays at home and prepares her soft tapas for her next tapa making and also for their kiekie making. When her products are ready, she usually sends them to an overseas market where she earns almost double from it.

Lesieli is a hard working mother who spends sleepless nights on her business for the benefit of her children. This loan she applies for is to purchase raw materials for her three businesses. She dreams of living in a better new house one day and having a new vehicle.
