Jeerapon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy raw materials to ensure her hammock business continues smoothly despite global uncertainty.

Jeerapon's story

Jeerapon lives in the village of Huay Hom, in the northern part of Thailand. Her income from farming has dropped in recent years, and it's been a challenge to make ends meet. She is married with two school-age children, but she has been parenting alone for the past few years because her husband has gone abroad to seek better work. Jeerapon says, "I didn't want him to leave, but I know my husband can make more money working abroad." For her part, Jeerapon is dedicated to increasing her income by weaving hammocks. She says, "We can each do our part to make our future more secure." With her hammock income this year, Jeerapon hopes to continue supporting their family while her husband is away. She wants to be able able to keep food on the table and still have money to buy extras, such as a mobile phone, a refrigerator, a rice cooker, and a fan. Jeerapon says, "Our life is hard, but weaving hammocks has made it less so and allowed us more options to get ahead." She is very optimistic about the future and the security her loan will provide! Jeerapon's loan will allow her to invest in yarn for the coming year and also ensure that her work isn't impacted by the global pandemic. Especially in this time of global uncertainty, Jeerapon is grateful for your support to continue empowering her journey!
