but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy charcoal.

Dushyigikirane Cb Group's story

Esperance is a 42-year-old widowed mother of five children aged between 6 to 17 years old. For the past two years, she's been selling charcoal.

She is the leader of the group called Dushyigikirane CB, which means “support each other.” Group members sell various items and own a variety of businesses.

Esperance will use her loan to buy charcoal to sell within her community. With the profit from her sales, she'll be able to provide medical insurance to her family.

She's grateful for support from lenders.

Note: Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was unable to photograph all the group members. However, the photo shows a member representing the group.
