Jaqueline Jannette's story

Jaqueline Jannette is a single, young, 23 year old who has a business woman's mindset. She finished school a few years back and would like to help her parents. She lives with her parents in their shanty house, in an urban district located about 4 kilometres outside of Port Vila, a city in Vanuatu. It is a large community and its main industries are food and agriculture. Ni-Vanuatu love their local food, so for one to make a living off agriculture has been quite good.

Jaqueline Jannette has a business of selling kava juice in her own kava bar. In the South Pacific, kava is a popular social drink, consumed in ceremonies to promote relaxation. With her revenue, she helps her parent's complete their home.

Jaqueline Jannette has asked for a loan to help her pay for housing materials to build their own home and to help pay for her younger twin brothers' school fees. This will allow them to get a good education and to earn a well paid job in the future.

This is her third loan with SPBD - Vanuatu. Her previous loans were repaid faithfully and on time. Through her loans, Jaqueline Jannette feels empowered to expand her business and become a successful entrepreneur.
