Fatu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more ingredients that will be used to make bread, cookies and juice to sell.

Fatu's story

Meet 40-year-old Fatu from Liberia. She is married with 5 children. She attended school up to 5th grade.

She runs a business which sells bread, juice, and cookies. She has dealt in this business for the past 26 years now and works 8 hours per day, 6 days a week. For the time being she has had no problem with her business. She requested this loan from Brac to purchase more ingredients that will be used to make bread, cookies and juice to sell and increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help improve their standard of living. She is so proud of her business because it helps provide for her needs.

In the future she would like to build a house and continue sending her children to school. She says thanks and gives appreciation to Brac and the Kiva community for support.
