Maria Guadalupe's story
Maria Guadalupe, 51, is a micro-entrepreneur who lives in the town of Santa Lucia with her family. She has been engaged in her business as a shopkeeper for twenty years. Since she was a child, she always helped her family and bosses to take care of the store. So, as soon as she saw the opportunity, she opened her own store in her home with her family’s help, and in this way, she helps her community. She started her business because she needed to generate income for herself and her family as well as to help people and neighbors. This business is her only source of income and allows her to support her family. However, due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, her business declined due to bio-safety issues, and her income decreased drastically. For this reason, she is requesting her first loan from Fundación Santo Domingo to invest in inventory with greater turnover such as oil, meat, rice, sugar, drinks, and dairy products. Support her with a loan for her business.
