Miriam Esther's story
Miriam Esther, 49, is a micro-entrepreneur who lives in Baranquilla with her family. She has been selling snacks, drinks, and other items for 17 years, a business she started out of necessity to support her children. By selling snacks and drinks, she increased her income, and sales have improved over time, thus enabling her to buy more merchandise to sell and attract more customers. This is her only source of income and how she puts food on the table for her family. Because of the pandemic, sales went down and her income as well. Therefore, she asks for her first loan through Fundación Santo Domingo in order to buy snacks, drinks, IT wares, and cellphone minutes. Help with her loan is much appreciated.
