Mashauri Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 4 bales of second-hand clothes which will strengthen her initial capital.

Mashauri Group's story

Madam Faida is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and presides over the Mashauri village group. She is 52 years old, married, and has 12 children who are all in school. Her spouse is unemployed and she sells second-hand clothes.

She started this business 22 years ago with start-up capital from her husband. She later involved the Hekima programme to support her business, during which it gradually evolved. With this new loan, she will stock up on 4 bales of second-hand clothes, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge her business faces is linked to a lack of customers.

She would like to build a house and wants her children to continue studying. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to owners of unbanked businesses during the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19 in compliance with social distancing measures.
