01_Lehar Group's story

This group is made up of 9 women from the banc villageois started in the area in October 1995. They live in the same village. They are parents, friends, and neighbors. They maintain good relationships and they have solidarity. They work mainly in commerce.

Madame Geneviève is 71 years old and she is the representative. She is standing on the right of the photo and raising her arm. She is a widow and the mother of 10 children. All of her children are adults and they work.

Geneviève prepares and sells fruit juice and peanut butter. She stocks up at the nearest city market, and sells between her home and the school in the neighborhood. She also runs a parallel business raising pigs. She has more than 10 years in this field.

She is going to buy 1 basket of bissap leaves, 10kgs of powdered milk, 1 25kg bag of sugar, 100kgs of peanuts, and the necessary products for her work. She prepares delicious juice and is well-known in her neighborhood.

She is also going to buy 2 pigs that she is going to raise and resell later. She will use her earnings to reinforce her savings at the heart of the banc villageois and to manage her spending.
